Private tour

Wine, Tapas & Cava

This is an afternoon half day tour. It is our only exclusively-wine-culture focused tour, and it will take you to two different wineries throughout your afternoon with us! We always select low-production focused, small, family owned wineries. They allow us to get you in touch with our wine traditions in a more genuine way, through a more boutique atmosphere. Make the most out of our wine country thanks to this tour that will get you in touch both with cava and wine cultures.

Tour description

You came to Barcelona and you want to learn everything possible about wine culture in Spain and Catalonia. You know that Spain is one of the main wine producers, exporters and consumers in the world and its wines rank best everywhere, just like Italian and French wines do. Or maybe you don’t know any of this, but you think what we are just about to offer sounds like a good afternoon plan out of Barcelona. Keep on reading: this is for you!

We like small groups and intimate experiences. We also like them to be easy and accessible, and this is why we go daily to two different local Catalan cava and wine cellars around Barcelona with this guided tour that will prove quite an experience. Your English-speaking local guide will welcome you in the very city center, where all our tours start, and will be in charge of teaching you everything you want about our local history and wine culture.

We will do this in two different stops. We have two local wine and cava producers to take you to, and it is at their very home that you will learn about their tradition and wine making ways. In one of this family-run cellars you will get in touch to the authentic Catalan cava culture, whereas in the other one we will be speaking mostly about the production of wine from a very local perspective. The first tasting will come matched with local Spanish tapas, and the second one will be in company of a cheese platter or equivalent, to keep the stomach entertained.
