We want our original tour to come with a personal feeling; that’s why we keep our groups small and our guides local. You’ll have time to explore the scenery both with your guide and on your own during your free time. Options are plentiful on this very special piece of the mountain that feels like our second home: from a short hike to St. Michael’s Cross to attending the Boys' Choir performance and even visiting the Black Madonna of Montserrat with pre-booked tickets (if option selected). Our last stop will be a visit to a family-owned traditional Catalan castle-winery that has belonged to the same family since the day it was built, back in 964 AD! This 10th-century gem is only open to us under the promise of keeping our tours completely sustainable, just like their eco-friendly wine production. There you will experience Spanish traditions: a multi-course meal made from regional ingredients, a tour of the estate, and, needless to say, a tasting of three distinct D.O. Pla de Bages wines.
Don’t know which option to choose? The only question you need to ask yourself is whether you prefer to enjoy two and a half hours of free time in Montserrat (departure option at 8:30), or if you’d rather trade one hour of free time for some extra sleep and enjoy the scenic views with the Cogwheel Train (departure option at 9:45).

If you choose the 9:45 am departure with cogwheel train, you now have the possibility to visit the Black Madonna statue thanks to our pre-booked tickets. Availability for these tickets is limited, especially for last-minute bookings, so we recommend securing your spot as early as possible.

Our VIP Experience includes everything you already love about our regular tour — but with a truly unforgettable twist. After the main wine tasting concludes, you'll be invited to step behind the scenes for an exclusive moment few ever get to enjoy: a private visit to the aging room, where the winery’s finest wines quietly mature. There, an expert host will guide you through an additional tasting of three exceptional wines, including some drawn straight from their aging vessels — a unique and intimate encounter with the soul of this history-rich, family-owned estate. - Meeting point is at Castlexperience Office inside Estación de autobuses Barcelona Nord (North Bus Station). Carrer de Nàpols 68 (5 min from Arc de Triomf).
- Please be at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before the start of the tour.
- All tours depart on time to avoid delays. Please note that late arrivals or no shows may be rescheduled, but not refunded.
- There is a limit of 20 people per group.
- Transportation will be shared with other groups.

- Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved.
- Temperatures at Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly. We advise bringing water, especially in the summer season.
- Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge but note that no car seat or meals are provided.
- All dietary allergies or restrictions are catered for.
